We will start with a mountain bike descent from Abra Málaga, surrounded by breathtaking Andean landscapes. Then, we will raft down the rushing Vilcanota River, adding excitement to our journey. After a full day of adventure, we will rest overnight in Santa María.

 

On the second day, we will hike through Santa Teresa’s lush environment, observing local flora and fauna. We will visit a local family’s home and walk part of the famous Inca Trail. Our day will end with a relaxing soak in the thermal baths of Cocalmayo before spending the night in Santa Teresa.

 

The third day will thrill us with a canopy tour over the Santa Teresa jungle, feeling the rush of flying through the treetops. Later, we will hike along the train tracks from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes, enjoying the scenic river views. We will stay overnight in Aguas Calientes, preparing for the final day.

 

On day four, we will explore Machu Picchu’s magnificent ruins with a knowledgeable guide. We will ride the tourist bus up to the site and tour for about two and a half hours. Afterward, we will return to Aguas Calientes for a brief town visit before taking the train to Ollantaytambo. Finally, our representative will transfer us back to our hotel in Cusco.

We will start the day early in Cusco, driving toward Abra Málaga, the gateway to adventure. At 4,316 meters above sea level, Abra Málaga offers breathtaking views of the high jungle and Andean peaks. We will ride mountain bikes down winding trails through cloud forests, surrounded by lush vegetation and vibrant birdlife. The descent spans about 45 kilometers, mixing adrenaline and nature.

After biking, we will arrive at the Vilcanota River for a thrilling rafting session. The river’s refreshing waters challenge even the most daring with exciting rapids. This action-packed experience will fill us with energy before we reach Santa María village. We will rest overnight in Santa María and prepare for the next day.

Our trek will cross a historic section of the Inca Trail. We will discover ancient stone paths that once connected Machu Picchu with the Amazon jungle. Our guide will explain the Inca’s communication system through these routes. We will end the day relaxing at the warm thermal baths of Cocalmayo, known for their healing properties. Overnight stay will be in Santa Teresa.

This scenic trail follows the Vilcanota River, offering spectacular nature views and sounds of rushing water. The path is gentle but long, allowing us to immerse in the surrounding cloud forest. We will reach Aguas Calientes in the afternoon and rest overnight.

We will wake early and take a tourist bus up to Machu Picchu, sitting at 2,430 meters above sea level. Our guide will lead a detailed 2.5-hour tour of the ancient Inca citadel. We will explore iconic sites like the Temple of the Sun, Intihuatana stone, and the agricultural terraces.

After the tour, we will return to Aguas Calientes for a short break to explore the town. Later, we will board the Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo, enjoying panoramic views through large windows. From Ollantaytambo, our representative will take us back to Cusco, ending the tour at our hotel.
